Dear Parents/Guardians,
I am extremely proud and excited to be the new Principal of General Herkimer School. I remember many years ago walking down the same hallways, as I embarked on my life’s passion for education and learning. As a General Herkimer graduate, I have fond memories of this school. The warmth and neighborhood feel are still present today, as they were years ago.
As a Utica resident with over 14 years in this school district, I am and always will be an advocate for our schools. My son even attends elementary school in Utica, so I have the unique perspective of being an administrator and parent.
Having started in the district at Christopher Columbus School, I was both a third and fourth grade teacher. Later, I became an AIS Facilitator and then continued my career as an Assistant Principal at Kernan Elementary School for over three years.
As I look to the future, I am excited about all the possibilities and continued success at General Herkimer School. I am counting on the entire school community – parents/guardians, staff, teachers and students – to help make this school the very best that it can be. My expectation from the students is that they always do their best, be safe, and act respectful.
Please feel free to stop by and introduce yourself (I will always try to make myself available, if possible). I look forward to meeting you!
Thank you for continued support.
